Part of a diptych with Archangel Michael. The Archangel Gabriel and Archangel Michael icons were both inspired by beautiful Russian icons of Archangels Gabriel and Michael. I worked hard to preserve the design and colours as closely as possible to the original, but as always, I added my own touch (for example, I aged the icons and cross-braced the back) to make them unique. Both icons use the same technique - acrylic on wood - and are of the same size. Both are finished with varnish and beeswax polish for perfect protection.

Ideally they should be purchased as a diptych because they are presented in churches as a pair.

The price quoted is for the two icons together.
