Metal Work and Jewellery Making Workshop with Son of Fire Blacksmith

We’re delighted to welcome Son of Fire Blacksmithing to Art of Wonder this Sunday for a hands-on metal and jewellery-making workshop.

With nearly 20 years of experience swinging a hammer, he began his formal training at the National School of Blacksmithing in Hereford in 2007, qualifying in 2010 and being awarded the rank of ‘Journeyman Blacksmith’ in the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths.

Alongside commission work, he has also taught and recently moved into a larger workshop, where he continues to design and create decorative, practical and architectural pieces. He has a strong passion for historical pieces and embraces a ‘living archaeology’ approach to making and replicating items from the past.

On Sunday, you’ll have the chance to make your own copper jewellery, learning hammered patterns, shaping and the annealing process. Everyone will leave with a finished piece.
