Jill Wilkinson
Jill Wilkinson is a fine artist who pours energy and emotion into every canvas she paints. Her imaginary garden series was her response in paint to the loss of bats, swallows and insects which had been prolific in her garden until a nearby field was planted with cauliflowers and sprayed with the inevitable pesticides. This joyously colourful series of paintings marks a change in her gardening practice to the planting of only flowers that would attract back that proliferation of wildlife.
Jane Newman
Jane Newman's Red Green Blue, presents a captivating series of experimental photographs inspired by flowers glimpsed in passing. By shifting perspective and altering colour, she invites viewers to reconsider the familiar and discover unexpected forms, textures and almost otherworldly details hidden within everyday nature.
Carole Morgan
Carole Morgan transforms the delicacy of watercolour into richly layered textile art. Inspired by everything from blooming gardens to the stylised petals of a silk scarf, her intricate works combine cockled chiffon, silk and buttons with knitting, embroidery, appliqué and distressing techniques to create tactile, dreamlike landscapes.
Nelli Tilley
For Nelli Tilley, painting is an extension of movement and expression. Originally a dancer, she approaches her impressionistic works with the same spontaneity and energy, painting alla prima (wet-on-wet) and completing each piece in a single sitting. Using fast-drying acrylics, her vivid paintings capture fleeting moments with bold, expressive brushwork.
